Brain Matters magazine

For the Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health’s Brain Matters donor magazine, I interviewed a researcher, Dr Jo Robertson, and several members of a group she calls ‘The Super Normals’ – old people who are outliers on the curve of health and fitness, mentally and physically, which means they are living active, engaged lives, well into their eighties or more.

It was a fantastic article to pull together, chatting with 81-year-old ballet dancer Colin Peasley, who is still a dancer with the Australian Ballet Company, as well as other inspiring 80-somethings. I was even introduced to the secret rogue wild guinea pig population of Melbourne’s eastern suburbs. Who says my job doesn’t have perks?
