I was commissioned by the Penington Institute to write a piece exploring the dark net and how drugs are purchased through marketplaces on the shadowy deep web.
It was fascinating, to speak with some of Australia’s leading experts on the dark net and cyber crime; an area of the online world I had little knowledge of, beyond reading the occasional article.
Dr Monica Barratt, research fellow at the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre, and a Professor of Criminology at Australian National University, Professor Roderick Broadhurst, were generous with their time, and super interesting to interview.
My article is due to appear in the Anex Bulletin in early 2018.
