The New Daily asked me to write a piece about the strange case of Keaton Jones, a Tennessee kid who cried about being bullied and was embraced by the world’s celebrities, before allegations emerged that his mother (and even Keaton, the 11 year old) might be Confederate-flag-loving racists, and all the celebrities jumped off the bandwagon as quickly as they’d arrived.
It is the sort of internet/social media story that didn’t exist a decade ago. The whole thing happened from Friday, when Keaton cried, to Monday when Twitter posts of support were being furiously deleted.
It was an interesting topic to dive into and got the comments flying, for and against.
